Song facts: “Moon River” won Audrey Hepbrun an Academy Award in 1961 for her rendition of the song in Breakfast At Tiffany’s. When an executive involved with Breakfast At Tiffany’s suggested deleting the song from the film, Audrey Hepburn reacted with words to the effect of  “over my dead body”.
